What are Portable Carpet Cleaning Machines?

Portable carpet cleaning machines are compact and very handy for maintaining clean and beautiful carpets. They are used to remove unsightly particles such as household dust, dirt, sand and food crumbs that get deposited onto carpets daily. They also remove allergens like pollen, mold spores and mildew as well as undesirable odors that dirty carpets usually harbor. These particles and odors often get compacted and lodged deep into the carpet fabric through everyday human traffic and activities, making them difficult to remove.

These carpet cleaning machines are very compact as well. The larger counterparts of these machines do perform the task quicker, but they require more effort to operate. Portable carpet cleaning machines can fit into small storage spaces and car trunks, making them easy to carry and move around while in use or to transport to other locations. Their compact nature also means that storing them is very easy as well. They can easily be stowed under workbenches, cabinets or closets.

These machines are also very simple to use. They only require power and clean water to operate, and they are operated in a similar manner to a household vacuum cleaner. They have parts and attachments that are easily detachable for cleaning, refilling and servicing. Users only have to plug it in, then it’s ready to go. After reviewing the Bissell Big Green Deep Cleaning Machine 86T3 in my previous post, I decided to balance it out by writing on smaller compact machines. Not that one is better than another, but they serve different purposes. I like owning both a regular upright cleaner and a portable one. In my opinion, they complement each other, but not everyone is a clean carpet freak like me.

Do you use a portable carpet cleaner? Do you like it?
